| As people continue to diversify their lives and the field of recreation grows, many communities have become aware of the need for expanded community recreation opportunities to help improve their quality of life. In an effort to meet this community need as well as stay on the cutting edge of development, growth and prosperity, the City of Medina has joined with Medina City Schools in a partnership to design and build the Medina Community Recreation Center. |

Medina City Schools
Medina City Schools has incurred the large task of adding educational space for the existing high school in an effort to maintain the unified strength and support of a growing community. This same intent was used to bring these partners together to help this project succeed. This extremely unique partnership in community recreation center design and operation denotes the concern for the highest quality services that the organizations provide for the Medina community. Not only does the partnership allow for expanded recreational opportunities, but also a significant savings to the community in comparison to the facility being located independently.
The center will help expand opportunities for student athletic and health care programming for the school?s physical education program. Physical education courses will use separate locker room facilities and utilize minimal facility space during academic days and times. These locker rooms will be used for overflow space when not being used by MHS physical education classes. |
Medina General Hospital
 Medina General Hospital Sports Quarters is pleased to offer a satellite location
within the Medina Community Recreation Center. This new location provides the
community with an additional, convenient location for physician prescribed
physical therapy.
- Licensed physical therapists provide therapy for a wide range of illnesses or injuries from arthritis to sports injuries to rehabilitation after surgery.
- The 1,723 square foot Sports Quarters area features the latest in therapeutic equipment. Sports Quarters also has use of the shared facilities, which include the fitness room, field house and running track.
